Information is Beautiful is a collection of infographics that include all sorts of data about our lives and world. The reality of a student using Information is Beautiful as a source is pretty slim since there are limit infographics available, but, this site could be a source of story starters or debates for use in your classroom. 

For example, here is a visualization on what one can do to increase their life span:

Students could pick and choose parts of the visualization to defend or debate. What can a person control? What can’t they control?

As you look for infographics to use, be aware that some may not be suitable for the classroom. I wouldn’t let my students loose on the site, but I would grab infographics from the site to use with them.
