Free Kid’s eBooks and NOOK Books | Barnes & Noble® and Amazon.com : free kids ebooks (Amazon Best Sellers: Best Children’s free eBooks) – These sites require an Amazon or Barnes & Noble account, so they may not be useable for young students. But, for older students (or students who have their parents sign up), this is a great way to read!

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – We signed our own daughter up for the Imagination Library after she was born, and we were not disappointed. Once a child is signed up, they will receive a free book every month from the ages of 0 to 5.

Free eBook library – practice reading with phonics eBooks – OxfordOwl has a free ebook library for children aged 3-11. The site requires accounts, but it has the advantage of having a ton of other resources besides the free books. Teachers can also create accounts and a class account, but I was unable to find the limitations of the free account vs a paid account.

ICDL – International Children’s Digital Library – The books here are readable without an account. There are a ton of non-English language books, so this site may be of use to ESL students. The books are pretty bare bones, no added bells or whistles, but they do allow the reader to enlarge text by clicking.

Children’s Storybooks Online – Stories for Kids of All Ages – This site also lets you read books without an account. Like ICDL, the books are no frills ebooks.
