{Edtech} Is it time for K12 integrate computer science across the curriculum?

It’s high time for students to move beyond an hour of coding exercises and learn computational thinking. That’s the message of a new report from Digital Promisethat examines what’s important to know and be able to do in a “computational world.”

The researchers us of the term computational thinking is just another way of saying computer science. I’m all for promoting CS skills across the curriculum, but I think we’re selling ourselves short if we don’t include other disciplines such as music and art. Unfortunately, creating a cross-disciplinary curriculum is difficult, almost impossible.
