Pixel art with Pixelorama

Source: Pixelorama

I love 80s videogames and creativity tools, so put them together and you get the pixel editor Pixelorama.

Pixelorama starts out as a pixel editor, letting you and your students create that 8-bit look that you see in a lot of games. The graphics can be downloaded as .png files and used in other projects. The site also lets you create animations, a frame at a time. These animations can be exported as individual frames or as an animated gif.

Accounts are not required to use Pixelorama, files can be saved and opened to your local computer.
