New additions to Adobe Spark, I mean Adobe Cloud Express
Source: Introducing Creative Cloud Express | Adobe
I have a feeling that Adobe is feeling a little bit of heat from Canva. Canva is totally free for teachers to use with their students to create all sorts of multimedia. Adobe Spark has also been available for free to education, and it has a lot of the same features as Canva. I say a lot, but it seems like it’s still playing catchup. With the renaming of Adobe Spark to Adobe Creative Cloud Express, Adobe is adding more features to its product. While a lot of the services are free and a few have a monthly cost, all of it is free for education.
What can you do with Adobe Creative Cloud Express? You can create all sorts of multimedia, graphics, infographics, videos, and animations. While a lot of the tools are available online, they also offer Premiere Rush, a video editor for Windows, macOS, iOS & Android, and Photoshop Express for Windows, iOS, & Android. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get Premiere Rush run under Android on our Chromebooks, Adobe says that Photoshop Express does work on Chromebooks. I still need to test this.
All in all, this is a pretty neat upgrade, and well worth it for districts to sign up. There is nothing stopping you from using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud Express.
