Quickly create short urls to anything without an account using the Amazon URL Shortner

One of the most well known URL shortners is the one at Bitly. Unfortunately, the Bitly Chrome extension requires you to create a Bitly account and sign in. That’s all well and good, but most of the time, you just want to quickly make a short URL. That’s where the Amazon URL Shortner Chrome extension comes in.

On the backend, the extension uses Bitly, but it doesn’t require any sort of account. When you click on it on websites that aren’t Amazon, you will be given a Bitly short link. You don’t have any control over the shortened URLs, so if there are some Bitly features you need to use, you’ll want to use the Bitly extension and not this one.
