Education deals on Apple products for back to school

Apple’s Back to School promotion has ironically dropped before some school districts have even finished this year, and it’s… Meh. By purchasing an eligible Mac, iPad or iPhone for college, you get a free pair of Beats headphones. There are two versions of the headphones that you can receive depending on the product you purchase. The Beats Solo2 wireless headphones (MSRP $299) come with the imac, MacBook, Macbook Pro, or MacBook Air. The iPad Pro, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6 buyers can get a freei pair of Beats Powerbeats2 wireless headphones (MSRP $199).

Don’t get too excited, the prices that Apple is quoting is the manufacturers suggested selling price. The Solo2 wireless headphones are currently available on Amazon for $199 while the Powerbeats2 are $139. Still, if you’re in the market for a new machine, you can always resell the headphones.

Over at Best Buy there are several deals for students with a .edu email address, giving $100 off on select Apple and Microsoft products.
