Join.me is a dead simple way to host an online meeting
Last night I was troubleshooting with a friend over the phone, when I wanted to share my screen with him. I went through the usual suspects: Google Hangouts, Chrome Remote Desktop, Teamviewer, etc. when I remembered Join.me.
A quick 15MB download later and I was broadcasting my screen. Although I had to download an app to start the meeting, participants only have to visit a url, no software required. The free version supports up to 10 participants. Join.me also offers a phone number that participants can call for audio, or they can use their computer. Participants can also use video, which join.me adds to the screen as little bubbles.
The paid options offer more features, but even the free version is pretty powerful. It’s great that no one needs an account or special software to join a meeting.
