Create a link to a specific Gmail account
If you are logged into multiple Google accounts in your browser, it can be cumbersome to get to a specific gmail account. The standard operating procedure is to navigate to gmail.com, then click on the accounts avatar and select the account you want to use.
But there is a way to create a link directly to a Gmail account. This link can be used from a bookmark or customized start page with something like Protopage or Start.me.
The secret is to create the link with https://mail.google.com/mail/u/[email protected], replacing [email protected] with the email account address. This link will jump directly to the email account’s Gmail account.
Update: I’ve created a video to help!
There is one caveat. The link will only work if the Google account is currently logged in. If the account isn’t logged in, then the link will go to the first Google account.
