I don’t think the Micro:bit gets the amount of love in the United States as it should get. Part of the problem is the amount of work required to buy them, but the number of resellers has increased.
The Micro:bit is a small, single board computer, a lot like the Raspberry Pi but a lot more useful out of the box. It can be programmed from just about any device, and doesn’t require additional accessories like a Pi would.
